Connection Groups
Here’s some information about some of the great small group opportunities we have for the winter months (January – April). Make sure to check out the signup form below to let us know which group you want to be a part of.
1. “Shepherds – A Place to Belong”
This group exists for those looking for a place to fit in and connect on Saturday morning. Meeting at 10:00 (beginning January 14), this group will explore topics such as “Faith in the Marketplace,” “God in the Home” (marriage and family related), and “Spiritual Basics,” (getting started and maturing in Christ). 2. Dynamic Youth Encounters:
This group will turn up the volume on the Christian youth experience with full band worship, dynamic, interactive study of God’s word, and a little hanging out social time with food and music. Together we will also plan and experience community service events. Led by Chuck, Alex, and Johnnie, Dynamic Youth Encounters will meet every Saturday from 6:30-8:00pm. 3. Saturday Afternoon Bible Class – Romans
Dan McNab leads a weekly Bible class after our 11:00 AM service. This group will be exploring Romans beginning January 7 after our fellowship dinner. Every other week the class will begin after the after-worship snack time. The class meets in the classroom across from the church office.
4. Glimpses of God
Dan McNab leads a weekly Saturday morning Bible study based on the Seventh-day Adventist Adult Sabbath School Quarterly at 10:00 AM in the classroom across from the church office.
5. Why Jesus?
This four week study looks at why Jesus is so important to the world. “Why Jesus?” is designed for high-school aged youth and meets at 10:00 AM in the classroom just off the Fellowship Hall. “Why Jesus?” begins January 14. 6. Meat & Potatoes
All questions and topics related to the Bible are considered in this wide-open connection group led by Ernest Maitland. The group meets at 8:00 PM in the church the second and fourth Friday Night of each month. You can email Ernest for further details at maitlandeg@gmail.com.
